Remediation Room is excited to announce a new project by Christina Battle entitled Remedy Toxic Energies: Summoning Circle.
Remedy Toxic Energies considers how we might work collectively to remediate years past and imagine new ways for the future. Spreading out from Canada’s top polluting province (Alberta), on January 17, 2022, hosts will bring together summoning circles in an attempt to shift the extractive energies at the core of the region’s economic and cultural ethos into something new. Imagine Better Futures.
A collective Summoning Circle will be held on January 17th the 1st Full Moon of 2022 (MLK Day). A call for participation invited people residing within the province of Alberta in Treaties 6, 7, or 8 to serve as summoning circle hosts. Hosts will be convening their circle on January 17th, 2022. Summoning circle kits are now all accounted for, but stay tuned for information on how you can gather your own materials and still take part.

Over the next month, hosts will receive instructions and materials through the mail to pass on to 4 people that they invite to participate in their circle. Summoning circle guests can be located anywhere. The first 20 hosts received summoning circle kits.
The circle’s format is ultimately up to hosts and their guests. Some suggestions for hosts to consider as they think about how to prepare can be found in the Guide for hosts and the summoning circle Resource Page.
